shaudsI'm so tired of comic books, and its the weirdest thing because I still love all the characters, but the story's? God, everything's just so edgy. And as much as I enjoy some sadness and angst and whatever, these comics are being edgy just for the sake of being edgy. There's no meat to any of the stories to make them at all interesting. They've become edgy and boring at the same freaking time.
This character dies and that character has edgy amnesia - like it's really the edgyest amnesia arc ever, and another character turns into a whimy, whiny asshole.
Even my favourite comic, that's actually gone the opposite way, and become softer, and something I'd usually really enjoy, I haven't picked up in months. Because if the writer of the other edgy book decides to do something edgy with my favourite character, that will probably come before the plans for his own writer.
Even the comic based TV show I enjoyed has gone the way of the bored edge.
Time to crawl back to anime and back issues for my entertainment and await the next reboot or rebranding or whatever the dumbasses in charge are going to do to fix the falling sales.
