Comic Comments and Fan Fiction

Freaking hate summer. I've been sick for like a week now, and I could barely move all day today.

Watched an episode of this show about Landlords with my sister, and this one guy with ten other properties found one trashed after he evicted a lady who he clearly harassed earlier in the episode, and the whole time they're trying to make you feel bad for the poor wandword wif ten oder FUCKING pwoperties. My first thought when I saw the place was "good" all that show does is show that landlords are assholes who are more than willing to break the law for money but tries to frame people who can't afford to pay rent as the criminals instead.

Got tired of the DC fandom and so I'm taking at the very least an extended break from all of that, maybe a permanent one as far as actually participating and discussing with every one else it. I might still write and draw and stuff, but if I do, it'll be purely for myself and not to be posted anywhere but maaaaybe my journal, which would serve the purpose of archiving while still being private enough that it doesn't come along with the general stress of general fandom.

Signed up for GYWO again this year, but this time I chose a habit could instead of the word one, it should be easier to write ten days a month than trying to meet a word count. Have a lot of ideas on what to write, original works mostly. Have a stack of books accumulated over the past year that I should get to reading, a million Star Wars things to watch/read, and also on a hobby search just because.

New Years resolution is to write in my journal everyday, and look at that, so far I haven't missed a day!

Suffering in the heat right now, as per usual this time of year, but trying a bunch of things to help with that, and some of them must be helping, because I have been doing better over the past two days than I was before that.

Anyway, got my writing goal for today done, 509 words so far! I'll be writing a some more in a bit, so it'll definitely go over that even though at the time of posting this it is pretty late already. Thinking I might actually be able to get this chapter to a story I had't even planned on continuing done tomorrow.

Another case of working on something other than what I was going to, but the writing part has gotten fun again. It really helps that I'm not putting these anywhere online just yet, so I can just enjoy them on my own :).

There's been heavy rain around here the past few days, but I think this is the first time in my lifetime there's been a tornado warning. At least as far back as I can remember there's never been one. Not sure whether to be worried or not.
