Summary: Eddie's gotten used to both his nightmares and Jason's, doesn't mean he likes that it happens to either of them. Jason's good at finding other things to worry about.

It's the fifth time Eddie's woken Jason from his sleep this week, the second time this night. He doesn't know exactly what it is about today that's set it off, and Jason's not likely to talk, but it's worrying.
"I'm fine." Jason sucks in a hoarse breath. "Go back to sleep." But the fist full of Eddie's tank top clutched in his hand makes that sort of hard. Eddie wouldn't have gone anyway, not when Jason's breathing is so jagged Eddie's almost surprised he gets the words out at all.
"Do you want me to find you some leftovers?" Eddie offers, because of all the things he's tried, food seems to calm Jason best when it's the middle of the night and little else he can do.
"No." Jason chuckles and he lets go of the shirt, lightly pushing Eddie away as he does so. "Not hungry, I'm fine, I promise."
"Does this sorta thing happen to you a lot?"
Jason shrugs and brushes sweaty bangs away from his face, usually Eddie would make a joke about Jason's hypocrasy regarding hair lengths, but he'll leave it for another time.
"Who are they?" Eddie asks like he has before, like before, he gets the same answer.
"I dunno ,KD, don't never remember 'em when they're over." He sits up, his back resting against the wall as he draws one knee to his chest.
"I have nightmares about hell sometimes." Eddie admits when Jason's been quiet for too long. "I know Blaze said my deal's void and all, but Aunt Marla was still down there, and she's still..."
He feels a hand settling on his shoulder, feels the damp of Jason's cheek on his shoulder and his hair brushing against Eddie's neck.
"That's not your fault." Jason runs his hand in soothing circles on Eddie's shoulder. "You were just a kid, and there's was no way you coulda known. Marla wouldn't want you beating yourself up over it." And just like that Jason's diverted the conversation, like always. "Survivor's guilts a bitch."
"Do you have that for... y'know?" Eddie looks down to see Jason's eyes have fluttered shut.
"Yeah." Jason sighs. "I don't remember exactly what happened, but I just think that maybe, maybe if she were alive now, it'd feel like it was less of a waste, what happened, y'know."
"I know." Eddie lays back on Jason's bed close enough that he can feel how uncomfortably warm Jason's gotten. "Woulda still been a waste, but it youda gotten the chance to yell at her at least."
"Thanks Eddie." Jason rolls his eyes and theres a whumph when he drops down to lay besides Eddie. "Hey, wasn't Cassidy in hell that one time?"
"Think so." Eddie frowns, he doesn't want to think about that right now, not ever if he can help it. "Why?"
"How'd he get out?"
Eddie rolls to his side to turn his eyes on his friend, but Jason's are fixed firmly on the ceiling.
"I don't know." Eddie's mouth feels dry
"Lets find out."
